Several C8 owners have found brake fluid leaking out on to the ground coming from the lift system fluid container

Found was the rubber bladder until the fill crap which should have a pinhole for venting has a enlarged slit that
either was a defect brand new or over time in using the lift option the small hole breaks and allows brake fluid
to leak all over sick

You need to watch for this fluid leak and if found either replace the cap/bladder with part number below
or have dealer do it

Update 1/18/21

This LIFT fluid leak is now also showing up in 2021 C8 Models
Used is DOT4 Brake fluid
This fluid is seen covering many areas of left front, including found on left front coilover and shock
Brake fluid ruins lots of things including surfaces like plastic as caustic

Bad design where the pressure is causing the pinhole in bladder under the fill cap to spreading crack allowing more volume of fluid
to be pushed through the small relief path see under the cap

Those who received a new cap and bladder in short timeframe then also allowed fluid to be pushed out of cap

Some owners forced to wrap rags around fill cap to at least prevent fluid flowing all over and even seldom use of LIFT system fluid is seen leaking

GM needs to redesign this but in mean time either limit use of LIFT and if ordering a C8
suggest not buying this option until a new design has been done and proven not to leak puke

2020-21 C8 Corvette owners have been reporting their Front Lift fluid reservoirs have been leaking and. GM has issued a Technical Service Bulletin for this and it’s as easy as installing a new cap to solve the problem.

The TSB is #N202321570.

This is not a recall, and if your car is on the list you will be notified next time you bring the car to your service department.
The issue stems from the current vented cap that is on the Front Lift’s fluid reservoir. This cap has a small hole and channels around the edge for venting air from the system as the front lift system is utilized.

The problem stems from that in the cap hole which can get larger over time.

The fix is a new non-vented cap (GM part number #85165040) that should solve the problem.

As some owners are only reporting small leaks, the best way to check your car is to remove the trim panels from the front trunk and look down to see if you have any fluid on the reservoir itself or the surrounding area.

The Front Lift uses DOT 4 hydraulic brake fluid which is very corrosive and not something you want dripping on metal or other unprotected services.
