Has anybody opened the backside (radiator side) of the air filter on a C4? I haven't studied it, although I know that there are some grossly overpriced kits for that. (not talking about the unit that is the so-called ram air type that replaces the front license plate) Any suggestions for a "Team style" shadetree fix?

A cold air box, you just cut the shroud, and place the air cleaner facing the radiator.
You can buy a cold air box, which is a new air cleaner can that mounts that direction
or make one of your own. Real easy and works quite well, I used one for years on my ZR-1
