Here is the specs of the different C5 model years and LS1/LS6 stock cams

LS1 Lift Duration LSA Timing
97-99 .479/.472 207/199 117 113/121
2000 .500/.500 209/198 115.5 112/119
01-03 .479/.467 207/196 116 117/115

2001 .535/.525 211/204 116 114/118

Those with a LS1 then can see what they get with going with
a LS6 cam, keep in mind the stock LS6 heads flow about 10 cc more the
LS1 stock heads.

I would not go less then a 114 LSA for most street/track engines if
going with a 3rd party grind for any lower LSA will effect idle quality since smaller LSA creates less idle vaccum.

How would longer durations affect the idle vaccum. Say the common upper 220ish to lower 230ish range on a 115 LSA?

I read that the Z06 cam has smaller lobe diameter is there need to compensate for that in the LS1 if you do a cam swap to a Z06?
Longer Push rods or Z06 heads?
Are the vlaves in the 6 ltr truck heads the same length as the Z06. I read they share ports and valve diameter with the truck heads having larger combustio champers.
I was thinking about a Z06 Cam and LS2 truck heads for my LS1 when a Install the Magna Charger.
Better breathing, lower compression etc.
