JR do you know anything about HRE wheels being banned at tracks due to them coming apart?

Yes I have heard that several times also as to my own HRE set that costs $1200 a wheel after about 3 years all the color has washed out and they look like crap

I'm surprised. I've had no problems with my HREs.

I had a email a few weeks back where a C5 owner went racing and did not pass tech inspection due to the race host not allowing HREs due to cracked welds found on them in the past.

As to mine they are anodized, the color has washed out and because of how the color is into the metal it will not be cheap to have them fixed and painted.
They look like crap now with most of color gone.

JR,

To inspect the welds do the tires have to be taken off?
