Those with a 6 speed transmission with a newer Corvette that operates under OBD-II
standards know that in the case of getting rid of that 1st/4th cags function you just cannot disconnect the cable connector on the trannie for it will cause a PCM error code.
You can go out and buy some kit to resolve that issue or what I did was disconnect the cags cable connector from cags switch on trannie, then measured the resistance of that switch and then inserted a 2.2K Ohm 1/2 watt resister into the cags cable connector pins.

This fools PCM into thinking cags switch is still functional but really now it is non functioning.
Tape off the connector shell on cags switch and after inserting resister in cable connector pins, tiewrap the resister to the connector shell, tape it off and tiewrap loose cable to something so it is not loose.
Thus you can do this mod for less then $2, go to like Radio Shack for resister.
