I purchased a PCM C5 diagnostics program from a company calle B&B electronics.
I called them first and they told me the program worked very well and no complaints.
They make a DOS and Windows version.

Well in short I attempted to use their prduct on three different laptops and 9 out of ten times it fails to link to the cars PCM ;-(((

The user manual sucks and so does the functions when it does work.
They have a forum on their website for users of this product and I see the same complaints from 3 months ago, with no replies back from the vendor !

For $300 it is not a very good diag program when your spending most of your time doing diags to find out why the diag tool is not working !

The DOS cersion is not much better, it tends to lock up the P/C after a few minutes of use.

Update almost a year later.

Vendor of Autotap finally releases V2 which they claimed would fix all ills of Verson 1.

Bottom line, V2 is worse then V1, still cannot maintain link to PCM for more then a few minutes on a C5, you cannot scan without recording, scaling of PIDs are not correct and being this was a tottaly new version should be many times better then the 1st version

At the same time they market against themselves by OEMing Efilive scanner and each scanner claims it is the best scanner around

I have to agree with JR here. Unfortunately I was sold on the flash of the autotap output screens and not the functionality. The Ease scanner is excellent.
