Aggressive drivers that perform poorly executed shifts into third from second gear
may miss the intended gate and ram the shift lever into the space between the third
and fifth gates.
After repeated excessive deflection of the shift linkage components, the shift gate
fork may spread apart and give the driver the impression that the shift leaver is
actually in gear when it’s actually still in neutral.
There is currently no fix for this concern. Suggest to the customer the use of Palm
Shift allows the shift to follow the natural flow into the proper gate.
