We have done many "One Off" custom tunes over the years that were indeed different and we love to see car projects like this one
This uses a 1990 LT-5 that has not been used in nine years mated to a stock ZF trannie.
Ron choose to use a 1994 ECM with no CCM.

Notice the custom design they did for the headers

The owner has hand built the total car below and Ron plans to race it on the Salt Flats in Utah where he began racing back in the late 1950s

Owner says :

Call it a Street Rod if you like as it is patterned after a Hot Rod I built in the early 1950's with a 1927 Ford Model T roadster and a big block Caddy engine.
But is also patterned after a 1927 Bugatti Gran Prix car that I have.


We'll post more information here as this project is completed
We are custom tuning it next week and will dial in tweak as needed as car is completed

Cool looking rod, but where are the cup holders? grin
Actually I was wondering what prevents the car from tearing itself apart at extremely high speeds?

Look at all the fasteners holding the hood or rear fenders.

It is pretty strong plus if used for the salt flats at most you have 1 mile to get up to speed,
1 mile at speed and then 1 mile to come to a stop so not like doing a 100 mile ORR.

Update the LT-5 is now running thus using a 1994 ECM, 1990 wiring harness and no CCM is workable.
The 94/95 ECMs of ZR-1 have a faster processor and uses a 16 bit bus rather then the older ZR-1s have a 8 bit bus.

This helps in performance since the ECM has more clock time to make adjustments faster
Also may even be harder finding 1990-93 ZR-1 ECMs thus 1994 ECM could be used.
