Subject: Difficulty Programming Modules, Cannot Achieve Ignition On, Engine Off Mode


Models: 2005-2008 Chevrolet Corvette


The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:
Some Technicians may experience failed module programming or difficulty performing certain diagnostic procedures due to the ignition not being in the "Ignition On, Engine Off" mode. The above listed vehicles use a keyless access system with push button start.

Recommendation/Instructions:
To reach the "Ignition On, Engine Off" mode, press and hold the ACC/OFF portion of the Start/ACC/OFF mode button for 5 seconds with a valid keyless entry transmitter inside the vehicle and the transmission in park.
