Common is for this module to fail.
If care is taken you can take it apart and fix it.

As seen there is a lot of contacts inside and may be possible one is out of wack or dirty else the white CAM could have a tooth broken or the CAM has mis-aligned to the shaft it rides on.

There is only 3 screws holding the main control to the base and then 1 screw holding the contacts to the base
