One of our customers with a 2006 Chevy 4x4 pickup with 6 liter engine added 5 PSI of maggie boost.
We meet and before I begin to tune we ran the OBD-II scanner so I could check for issues and find odd reading for fuel trims and a imbalance left/right.
I used a thermal gun and find the left HIGH flow CAT is not functioning correctly which again shows high flow CATS are a total waste of money ( and illegal is car is less then 8 years old)
Also in looking I find the header design was junk and the front O2s are installed into just one of the primary pipes thus the temp is way to low for 02 to function correctly as they belong at the collector so the total temp of all 4 cylinders is 4 times greater.
Owner takes the pickup to a muffler shop and they correct the problems.
Scanner then is used to see the 6% imbalance is gone and that the fuel trims are much better and 02 ramping quickly as they should.
Results of before the boost being installed and then after and with the base tune done shows with a minimal testrun with boost :
Flywheel gains
HP gain of 200 Tq gain of 160 ft./lbs
If boosted run was more load and longer at high RPMs then values will be higher
