The electronics are highly reliant on ground levels
Scattered around the car are ground splice packs.
Several grounds going to different functions go into one splice pack.

The top of pack comes off and had male pins where the wires have female pins

Over time those connections can be corrupted and effect how a function works.
As seen below the difference in a pack that is dirty to one that is clean.

If living where moisture is present can require these splice packs be cleaned every few years.

When cleaning then also use a electronic spray to clean and keep connections dry.
