I have heard that the 2006 C6 will have an A6 transmission that is based on the 4L65E. I have also heard that this transmission will fit in a C5 and connect to its torque tube and differential. Is this correct? If so, can the LS1 PCM be modified and/or programmed to shift it? If not, can the LS2 PCM be swapped into a C5? Very interested possibilities..........

I have seen a few test mules with the 6L65E trans with paddle shifters. The paddle shifter is suppose to be an option for 06 and the A6 is to be the standard trans. One person said the A6 would not be available on the Z06 because the torque was to much to handle. As far as the PCM, the 04's might be programable since it is similar to the 06.

Yes I have seen images of the 2006 with the paddles but not for the Z06 as was mentioned.

The auto trannies on C6 use a new TCM controller for the C6's PCM no longer manages the trannie as it did for the C5s so you could not use the C5 PCM to control a C6 auto trannie

You'd have to swap to C6 PCM, TCM, and wiring harness since the C6 PCM now handles the TAC ( drive by wire) where on the C5 the TAC has its own controller.

Problem is there is no complete tuning product out yet to tune the PCM and TCM so I would not do such a swap until there is.
