Last day of install and tweaking the tune
Started the day by using the SCT canned tuner. To assure not violating engine warranty the car owner paid for by the EVS supercharger their tune of the PCM and TCM for A6 had to be installed.
Design flaws when it flashed the PCM corrupted the TCM and changed the cal ID This meant no other tuner tool could be used. Trannie now was non functional
SCT blames Edelbrock as SCT sells the canned block box tuner, it then is up to Edelbrock to have the proper functions and tunes in it.
Edelbrock then blamed that the car owner had allowed Breathless Performance who did a lousy tune before hand that their tuning tool expects a total GM stock flashes to be in PCM and TCM. The vendor who sold the kit for over $6,000 had no answers and all 3 had no fix.
The only way to fix was TCM had to be forced flashed with a stock TCM calibration. Car owner choose to drive to the dealer with A6 not functions well at all.
With the dealer flashing PCM A6 was more workable but the paddle shifters did not work correctly and TCM was not down shifting correctly.
I retuned what the canned tuner tool did as to the PCM
Being trannie is not working correctly there was no way owner could do a test run for maximum HP/Tq
Keep in mind at 3,500 elevation this supercharger puts out about 7 PSI boost but at higher elevation maybe only 4 PSI boost. Stock NA engine at sealevel can do 104 MAP KPA, same stock engine at 3,500 feet is lucky to do 88 MAP KPA
Notice in results maximum MAP KPA was 135 which shows the effects of boost ( negative vacuum)
Here is short video to hear the sound of the EVS
Here is testrun results, but again this is not maximum numbers and will have to be retested when the A6 issues are resolved
At the least there is a flywheel gain of 125 in HP and 150 ft/lbs Tq
