Anton, LS2edit I have been using to tune 2005 C6s.

You would have to contact http://carputing.com to see if they now support the 2006, if not when.

Here is Carputing reply:

We are well on our way to having an editor for the 06 C6 vettes. We will have a beta version released for tuners soon, followed by a PCM-locked version for individuals. I'd expect the latter should be ready in a month.

So, John, once they have release for tunners, does it mean you gonna start tune '06 A6 cars as well ?

Not planning to do anything big, but i hear that these cars come pig rich from the factory, so i shall perhaps add an air intake, perhaps some catback and tune.

You'll need to find out when carputing supports all functions.

C5s - the PCM controlled the engine and trannies
2005 C6 - New PCM and A4 was controlled with a TCM
2006 C6 - Another new PCM and for the new 6-speed auto trannie the TCM is now built inside the trannie !

So carputing might get PCM cracked for the engine but not have the TCM cracked.

As to pig rich, GM has to protect a aluminum engine and CATs so sometimes they add more fuel for that purpose and also to reduce knock that would lower timing and have even less performance. In any case a custom tune gets the performance and still protects the engine if the tuner knows what they are doing and cares about engine life

Yes if owners buy the single user version I then could tune them via email as the transporting flash file back/forth

Does the above mean that if i decide to change rear end gears to something bigger than 2.56 i won't be able to adjust for new gears?

It depends on where GM puts the gear/wheel values. If its in the TCM and carputing has not cracked that then of course changes would not be able to be done
It could be though gear/wheel is left within PCM since its also used for safey functions but only carputing at this time would know the answer.

You need to query them before spending the money on a lower rearend gear

I don't even have the car yet, it's being built and i have about 4-5 weeks more to go, so...
