The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:
When servicing the Inside Rear View Mirror (ISRVM) assembly RPO DD8, it may be noted that the mirror will not release from the windshield with the instructions in eSI.

Recommendation/Instructions:
To remove the ISRVM RPO DD8, it will be necessary to rotate the mirror clockwise to remove. Use the bottom of the mirror base as a reference and call it the 6 o'clock position. Rotate the mirror base clockwise to approximately the 9 o'clock position. The mirror will then release from the windshield. When installing the ISRVM, install with the mirror base at approximately the 9 o'clock position. Apply pressure to the mirror base against the windshield and the rotate counter clockwise to the 6 o'clock position. Reinspect the mirror and confirm it has been secured to the windshield. A slight wobble of the mirror base from left to right is considered normal.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
