wanted to see what is good for 2006 A6 mods wise.

dont want to mess with cam/headers. Some light mods that would help some HPs/performance.

Thoughts

Being no vendor has come out with a tuning tool that allows to tune the A6's internal controller (TCM) if you add engine mods that also effect the A6 you have no way to make tuning adjustments and the mods increased HP and torque could have a bad effect to the A6 until it was tuned to handle the powertrain's effect from HP and Tq increases.

The engine can be tuned so for now I suggest the tune and a good aircleaner that allows only outside air being taken into the engine's intake.

Tune and CAI will get you good HP gains without need for TCM to be tuned

i know you like blackwing intake, would that be alright? Anything else for C6?

Being GM choose the Blackwing for the new Z06 my view remains the same, its the best overall filter to use.

The one on my 1999 which was installed back in that year is still working just fine.

how about some catback? just for the sounds,nothing radical, would one need a tune after just catback?

Catbacks are purely a sound change and not much from a performance gain and would not effect a tune so if catback was added after a custom tune it would not need a tweak.

Those C6s that I have tuned have had good gains so they do tune up nicely.
