Reason for the taller inner-cooler lid is GM raised the rear of the internal supercharger cooling brick

This will provide better cooling for cylinders seven and eight
The bricks are the supercharger's internal cooling plates -- shown in black with cooling fins

If your going to change your 2015-16 LT4s you'll also need the 2017 under-hood pad as it needs to be thinner to support the taller
intake lid
