Several GM vehicle models may feature two distinctively different-looking per-cylinder valve-cover-mounted ignition coils.
This is due to a supplier difference and, according to GM, does not affect performance or serviceability.

Replacement of coils is not necessary.
If the customer wants to keep them looking the same appearance-wise, replace with the part number of either style.

Affected vehicles may include 2016-2019 Cadillac CTS, 2015-2019 Cadillac Escalade, 2016-2019 Camaro, 2014-2019 Corvette, 2014-2019 Chevy Express and Silverado, 2015-2019 Chevy Suburban and Tahoe, 2014-2019 GMC Savana and Sierra and 2-15-2019 GMC Yukon.

Affected engines include L88, L96, L83, L82, L84, L86, L87, Lt1, Lt4, Lt5, LV3 and LV1.
