"There is not a visible difference between the standard and performance exhaust, it will all be internal. Here is some in depth information on the exhaust systems:
The goal with 2020 Corvette Stingray exhaust was to reduce induction restriction in an effort to enable power and performance.
The ultimate result was a 50% lower induction restriction and a backpressure exhaust reduction of 50%. Two exhausts will be offered (standard and NPP). The Corvette team worked to repackage the exhaust system because there is now virtually no space between the engine and the back of the vehicle.
"“We route most of the exhaust system inside the muffler pan with three separate compartments in the muffler housing,” said Holder.
“The center mixing chamber attenuates high-frequency noise while the chambers on the left and right work independently to lower mid-frequency noise. We’ve learned a lot about how to make a Corvette sound really good, and we’re going to get yet another improvement with this new system.”
The NPP exhaust works much like today’s system but incorporates an internal X pipe layout for mixing to reduce non-harmonic content and create a Corvette-heritage sound. "
