anyone else out there on the list done their own heads yet. I was reading an article on it (http://www.samotorsports.com/diyguide.htm)and thought that since the vettes off the road for a bit maybe this would be a good project. Pro's/Con's anyone?

If I were you I would leave it to a pro to port the heads. I've always done my own motor work, but head porting is an art in itself and I beleive some one who has been doing it for a living has a better chance of getting it right versus me doing it myself. Just my .02.

I say go for it, any time you port and polish smog heads your assured some performance gain. Tie it in with a good flowing exhaust system and allow more air into the intake.
