A while ago I was asking where to take my car to get a new clutch intsalled. Of course JR said the best way is to do it yourself. I was wondering how hard of a job it really is and if there are any special tools required.

Lonnie,
only special tool would be the one to help line up clutch disc when bolting down the pressure plate.
Your welcome to make it a weekend job and do it un my garage, I have all the tools.

Hey, I thought with the Rebel you would have too many projects on your list for any weekend work. I am waiting for my car to get out of the body shop and I'll try and round up the parts for a repair. I'm probably at least 3 weeks out before I' be ready. Thanks JR.

Well the whole purpose of the team is help each other so if you want to my offer stands, besides other teammates can learn off of seeing your's replaced.

I assume your ordering not only the full clutch but also a pilot bushing, fluid, and maybe need to replace flywheel if it cannot be re-surfaced.

Man I wish I cold take advantage of THAT offer JR! First of all, it would not be snowing. Next, I would have a technical resource to "lean on". Lastly,it would save me a bunch of $$$.
