DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Two IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship teams representing two different General Motors brands heading to the 24 Hours of Le Mans have taken the wraps off special liveries for the blue riband event, June 14-15.

Bob Akin Award Winner Fidani and AWA Reveal Fresh No. 13 Corvette Z06 GT3.R
AWA and driver Orey Fidani earned the Bob Akin Award in 2024, as the top-scoring Grand Touring Daytona (GTD) class Bronze-rated driver last season and IMSA’s automatic invitation to Le Mans that went with it.
The quartet of Fidani, full-season co-driver Matt Bell, Michelin Endurance Cup driver Lars Kern and fourth driver Marvin Kirchhoefer started off 2025 in grand style with a GTD class win at the Rolex 24 At Daytona. That win produced a series of admittedly good but perhaps unexpected changes.

A new chassis was pressed into service for the Andrew Wojteczko-led operation as the team took the race-winning No. 13 Corvette Z06 GT3.R into its collection and out of active racing. Its planned Le Mans chassis moved into IMSA competition, and its new Le Mans chassis was sourced for running at this year’s race.
The livery for that chassis has been revealed on Wednesday morning, a few weeks before Le Mans. In place of AWA’s now-traditional black and yellow livery, the team has delivered a striking patriotic Canadian livery with a red and white flag adorning the chassis.

The AWA team wrote on Instagram: “Painting the town red! We’ll be sporting a new, bold livery for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and we can’t wait to show off our Canadian roots in the biggest endurance race in the world. We hope you love the fiery look as much as we do! Only a few more weeks until our No. 13 Orlando Corporation Corvette is out on track at Circuit de la Sarthe.”

Fidani, Bell and Kern have a unique opportunity to win both 24-hour races in GT in the same year; the trio will compete in the 24-car LMGT3 class as part of the 62-car full field.
