C8 owners since 2020 MY were confused what temps of fluid needed to be at 175 degrees for a proper check of the oil level.

Is it the engine coolant or oil temperature or coolant temperature when checking the oil level ?

GM has clarified it in the 2026 owner’s manual It is engine coolant needing to be 175 F to check for proper engine oil level.
