I installed the PVC modified kit and the results of 5 runs grouped together as to knocks is no better then before the kit.
If you think about it, the little filters in the kit would be full in no time if in fact lots of oil was being sucked through valve cover into the intake.
In swapping the LS1 to LS6 intake manifold, I looked closely in the intake and yes there was signs of oil but very little.
Thus it goes with the finding when I did the re-carb that the engine was not very dirty.
In looking at the PCM traces I see knocks all over the RPM and speed range, in fact knocks as low as 7 MPH and as low as 1,200 RPMs.
Now if I read the knock design details correctly, knock is not suppose to respond if less then 1,650 RPMs and less then 20 MPH. If that is so then I should not seen knocks in the traces below that value, but I do.
I have a hard time thinking a LS1 would knock at only 7 MPH but mine does or this proves all along that it is either ill designed knock sensors/circuit or they are way too easy in pointing a finger as a real knock.
In this graph, with 59 knocks, only thing I could see common is no ping if less then LTFT of cell #9.
So now what do we do, teflon the sensor threads ?
