I'll let Steve fill in all the details about his '99 C5 that he just put a ATI 7 PSI Supercharger in and his first dyno with it installed. I met with him at a dyno shop that uses a Dynopack chassie dyno that they take the rear wheels off and bolt a chassie unit to each wheel. In seeing this I am not found of that type of dyno. I believe the dyno results are a tad lower then the real performance numbers. At this time what is needed to complete his project is larger injectors, finding out why boost only went to 6.39 lbs, I will compete the PCM calibration tuning and the IAT is a bit hot even after going through the intercooler. These are results of combining 3 dyno runs. ![[Linked Image]](http://teamzr1.com/steves/results2.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://teamzr1.com/steves/results1.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://teamzr1.com/steves/results3.gif)

JR, I realize that this is the first pull on the dyno but one thing really stands out to me. I have seen several other dyno charts of C5's with the ATI ProCharger and they all ran between 540 and 580 HP. This seems fairly low on HP.
I'm sure you will be able to get his HP up to where it should be.

I went to the Speed Merchants today to have a baseline dyno for my car. First of all I was not sure what numbers the car would turn. I knew that the car pulled hard, spun the tires in first and second as well as bounced off the rev limiter without even trying hard. When John and I arrived the tech drove my car in while I signed the paperwork. John was there to take Traces with the Ease Software for future tuning purposes. The fee for an hour of dyno time is $130. I asked the tech if he can run Boost numbers as well as hooking up a Fuel pressure gauge so I can look at the pressure while the car is under WOT. Built into the dyno's computer system was already a boost line that was hooked up in line with the blow off system that is now on the car.
I have never "ever" seen a Dyno like this before, there are two metal boxes that contain axles that are bolted to the rear of the car. The Rear Tire & Wheels have to be removed and special adapters are bolted to my car and the metal boxes are then slid into place and joined up with the car. This Dyno is called a Dynapack Series V4.5.2
I was a bit taken back by this type of dyno but decided to give it a try. Once everything was hooked up and running the tech started the first run and the Air bridge popped off the car! The car stalled and died. Once the Air bridge was reinstalled the car was restarted and the ease Software had to cycle to take traces again.
Onve the run started, the dyno did a strange thing... it actually put a load on the car and held it back while the run was taking place.
After 3 runs here are the results: Worst run:468 RWHP & 438 RWTQ Best run: 471 RWHP & 443 RWTQ
If we were spinning the car on a dynojet, you can add 10 to 15 RWHP to those numbers...
The Hp Mods to my car are: TPIS Long tubes, LS6 intake & 1.8 Crane Full Roller Rockers & Valve Springs.
Later on tonight Charts and graphs will be added to this thread.
What we found during the runs was that the 38 lb Injectors were running at 98% at 5700 rpms. I just ordered Bosch 42 lb injectors for $429 to correct that problem. In addition to this I will buy LS-1 Edit to correct the rich condition that is taking place too.
The Car was pushing 6.39 lbs of boost at 5900. I had a dip in boost at 4800 Rpms on 2 of the 3 runs... The Fuel Pressure dropped from 59 PSI to 51 PSI at 5900 RPM Although I only observed a drop to 54 at 5900 RPM.
The HP curve climbs like a 45 deg incline all the way to the 5700 RPM and stays level till 5900! The TQ Does the same to 5000 RPM! WOW! I have never seen my car dyno like this before!!
So How Do I feel about the Dyno? I am actually very happy with the results. I wish I didnt have to spend another $1000 just to make the car run correctly though. These 42 lb Bosch Injectors should have been included in the kit, even if it did cost another $200.

Seems that the ATI fan is not going into the high speeed setting. Since the fan runs all the time it does not let air through fast enough to cool at Freeway or low speed high rpm runs. I am looking into that problem now. Trying to come up with a good solution that will be the long term fix. I will keep you posted. John, thanks for the offer. If I do the work here or there, you have those injectors to test out on your car. Steve

Looks as though I am trying to find a way to fabricate a new air inlet for my SC. The ATI Shroud is restrictive and a POS IMO. I will be looking to reinstall the stock fans as they worked killer before without a problem. Anyone know someone that can fabricate a new inlet for the ATI S/C that will go over the top shroud like the airbridge we currently have on our cars? This way I can tap into the cold air just like the Vortex or Halltech does.

John, that would be great. In the next few days I will call you to see if it is cool to come by. Steve
