If you really want a clean and best way to use wider rear wheels is to mini tub.
Job is not hard and it is all hidden under the hatch carpet.

Your cutting the inside of inner fenders and adding a new one that is wider and fits closer to center of hatch.

Also notice on left side there is a air vent. Assure it closes correctly and is not stuck open as more wheel noise would enter inside.
