Is WeatherTech sponsor assuring their own car wins at Lime Rock ?
The Porsche 911 RSR-19 in GTLM class has received a further weight break for the 2nd time in the last 3 races, in the latest round of Balance of Performance adjustments confirmed by IMSA.
The WeatherTech Racing GTLM entry will now be at a minimum weight of 1275 kg, a further 20 kg decrease compared to last week’s WeatherTech 240 at Watkins Glen International.
This comes after the car was given an initial 10 kg reduction prior to the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen 2 weeks ago.
It's only competitor for next weekend’s Northeast Grand Prix, the Chevy Corvette C8.R, meanwhile, has been handed a 10 kg weight increase, bringing the mid-engined Corvette’s minimum weight up to 1290 kg.
No other BoP changes have been made ahead of the GT-only contest at Lime Rock Park.
